Berber pulls are often caused by vacuum cleaners or scratching pets. A pull can be made to look new by re-tufting or by using a bonded insert from a donor piece taken from a closet or from extra carpet, if available.
Either way, we would use a sharp utility knife to cut the backing material out of the area to be repaired. We would then use a piece of donor carpet and match the pattern to the repair area and adjust the donor patch to fit repair area, test fit and remove.
Finally, the use of hot or latex glue in the repair area would permanently bind the donor piece, and the repair is complete.
